Tabletop: Creating Height
Let’s talk about tabletop items first. Adding height is one of the easiest things you can do to achieve that beautiful table. You need items to give you that height though! These are some of my favorite pieces to do so. Once the party is over, these can go anywhere in your home! Cake plates are great for housing your bathroom products, or even next to your kitchen sink for your soaps and scrubbers! Cake plates are also so cute, that they can stand alone. Display a couple on a shelf and show them off! That tiered shelf (1) can hold little accessories or succulents for a fun centerpiece. It would look darling with holiday decor on it…you can even wrap the sides with little fairy lights!

Tabletop: Platters
I get asked all the time, “What are the 3 essentials I need to host?” My answer? A white platter, a wood round platter, and a linen. These 3 items are on every single table I create, and at every party I host, even a casual dinner party. I also bring the wood round or white platter to other people’s parties if I’m bringing a dish to share. I have more than gotten my money’s worth out of every single one of these items, and now I get to share them with you! Currently, I have this same wood and wire tray (5) and a similar runner on a side table in my dining room. It’s the perfect accessory for the table, and I love that I get to enjoy a piece I love everyday.

Beverage Essentials
I LOVE a bar area at a party. It’s one of my favorites to set up…and hang out in haha. I finally sprung for a bar cart over the holiday season and I’m so glad I did! I love playing with it, and seeing it take new life at each party. Outside of party days, it lives in my dining room, accessorized and giving off festive little vibes on the daily.
Lastly, if there is one item I use pretty much everyday, as well as at every single party I host, it’s a mason jar. They have so many purposes. You can use them as drinking glasses, vases for small flower arrangements, pre-made desserts, dishes like parfaits or pre-made salads, containers for utensils, etc. Target has the best prices on mason jars that I’ve found also!

Finding ways to repurpose decor is one of the first tasks I check off my list before really dive into planning my party. Repurposing saves so much money, my friend. I know it’s saved me thousands. More to spend on other fun things, like not baking a cake, in my case! ?

That beverage cart is drool worthy! I’ve always wanted one, maybe now is the time!
I had always wanted one too, and then realized I can totally enjoy it in my dining room while not having a party! I’ve also used it for a small dessert bar! Lots of possibilities! I say go for it. 🙂
My fav blog of all time. ? Thank you! I have so many “needs” from this list but my heart is trying to buy that beverage tub (we have accumulated 3 ?♀️). I need other ideas for beverage tubs to justify that. I mean look at the scalloped edge. ?
I knew you’d love this post! I am obsessed with that beverage tub. Its too much with the scallop and tassel! You can use tubs for toy storage! They are perfect for carting toys in and out of the house-like when we play outside, we have a blanket set up for toys/books. Instead of handfuls and multiple trips, fill a tub! They are also perfect stuffed animal storage!
